Athletics Ontario High Performance Development Programs are focused on athletes who have demonstrated a high level of ability and dedication to the sport of Track & Field. The aim of Athletics Ontario High Performance Programs is to provide support and resources for targeted athletes at the provincial level to transition and move up to Athletics Canada National Level Programs and support.

HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS
LTAD Stage: Train to Compete
Target Age Group: 16 & Up
Quest for Gold is an athlete assistance program that provides direct-to-athlete funding for Ontario's top-level athletes. The purpose of this funding is to reduce financial barriers associated with high level training and competition. By reducing these barriers, athletes can seek out opportunities that best prepare them to move towards AC National Programs.
LTAD Stage: Train to Compete
Target Age Group: 16 - 28
Team AO (OHPSI) is a program for athletes that have demonstrated the ability and commitment to pursue Track & Field at the high-performance level. These athletes receive education and support to help them as they move up from the provisional level to the national level. Support provided enables athletes to prepare themselves to progress to national teams and international competition.
LTAD Stage: Train to Compete
Target Age Group: U24 (Olympic Path), U35 (Paralympic Path)
The Canada Summer Games is a national competition held every four years. The purpose is to provide U24 Olympic Stream and U35 Paralympic Stream athletes an opportunity to compete at a national competition in a team setting. Representing Team Ontario on the national stage helps develop athletes' ability to perform at their best on the national stage while vying for a team title preparing them for collegiate track and field as well as AC national teams.
