  • For New Officials and Those Interested in Becoming an Official


    This course involves an online Zoom introduction, followed by a one- to three-month period of practical experience at track and field competitions. This program is ideal for parents, athletes, students, and anyone looking to get involved in the sport by volunteering and supporting their local club in hosting a track and field competition. Upon completion of the course, participants will be prepared to assist at upcoming events with their gained knowledge of the sport, competition management structure, and some of the rules. The current facilitator is renowned Official Lisa Ferdinand.

  • Mentorship Program for Volunteers of All Ages


    This program is for registered Technical Officials of all levels, for mentors and mentees.

    • ONE (1) Credit = Working up to and including four (4) hours in one day.

    • Two (2) Credits = Working over four (4) hours, up to and including eight (8) hours in one day.

    • Three (3) Credits = Working over eight (8) hours in one day. 

     

       *The maximum number of credits that may be claimed in one day is three.

    ** Ontario officials are generalists at Levels 1 and 2 and begin to specialize when they move to Level 3.
