ABOUT THE PROGRAM
AO is thrilled to share the release of the 2026 Quest for Gold program. The Quest for Gold program aims to fund individual athletes in the sport’s Train to Compete and Train to Win paths based on their demonstrated commitment to high-performance sport.
The goal is to enable athletes to pursue excellence at the highest levels of national and international competition, ensuring that Canadian athletes consistently achieve world-class results. This will be achieved by increasing the number and performance of Ontario athletes competing at the national and international levels, thereby improving Canada's overall performance at international competitions.

The application deadline is December 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a complete and accurate application by the deadline. Corrections submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

QUEST FOR GOLD PROVISIONAL TEAM
Athletics Ontario is pleased to announce the 2026 Quest for Gold provisional team selection dated January 14, 2026. The provisional team is TENTATIVE, pending the review of appeals submitted through the formal appeals process. Click HERE to view the provisional team.

Athletes who wish to submit an appeal must follow the appeals process as outlined in the 2026 Quest for Gold Selection Criteria.

All appeals are subject to a $100 (+ tax & processing) appeal fee.

Athletes who wish to submit an appeal must submit their appeal to the Appeals Committee by Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Appeals that do not follow the appeals criteria or are not received by the deadline will be automatically rejected.
The final 2026 Quest for Gold team will be announced on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, after all appeals are reviewed and resolved.
2026 QUEST FOR GOLD TEAM
Athletics Ontario is thrilled to announce the 2026 Quest for Gold Athlete Assistance Program recipients. These athletes will continue to pursue athletic excellence at the highest levels of national and international competition.
Quest for Gold provides support to help athletes strengthen their training, enhance both physical and mental performance, and continue progressing along the high-performance pathway. This recognition reflects athletic excellence and the commitment and consistency required to compete at the highest levels.
We look forward to following their journeys and cheering them on as they push toward new personal bests and major performances in 2026.
