This program is designed to provide the support needed for these athletes to elevate their training, sharpen their mental and physical performance, and chase their biggest goals.

QUEST FOR GOLD PROVISIONAL TEAM
February 12, 2025 – Athletics Ontario is pleased to announce the provisional the 2025 Quest for Gold team. The Quest for Gold provisional team selection dated February 12th, 2025, is TENTATIVE, pending the review of appeals submitted through the formal appeals process.

Athletes who wish to submit an appeal must follow the appeals process as outlined in the 2025 Quest for Gold Selection Criteria.

All appeals are subject to a $50 processing fee (plus tax).

Athletes who wish to submit an appeal must submit their appeal to the Appeals Committee by Sunday, February 16th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Appeals that do not follow the appeals criteria or are not received by the deadline will be automatically rejected.
The final 2025 Quest for Gold team will be announced on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, after all appeals are reviewed and resolved.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
AO is thrilled to share the release of the 2025 Quest for Gold program. The Quest for Gold program aims to fund individual athletes in the sport’s Train to Train and Train to Win paths based on their demonstrated commitment to high-performance sport.
The goal is to allow athletes to continue to pursue athletic excellence at the highest levels of national and international competition, ensuring that Canadian athletes are systematically achieving world-class results at the highest levels of international competition. This will be achieved by improving the performance and number of Ontario athletes competing at the national and international levels, contributing to the improved overall performance of Canada at international competitions.

The application deadline is January 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
