Paula Schnurr is a McMaster graduate who still holds two CIS indoor records in the 1000m and 1500m. Paula also competed for Canada at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games in the 1500m, and reached the semis at the 1992 Games, finishing 8th in what was a personal best time of 4:04.80. In addition, she won a silver medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in British Columbia.
