Bruce Kidd holds the 62 Commonwealth 6-mile title, 61 and 63 national 1 mile titles, 61, 62, and 64 national 3 mile titles, as well as the 62 and 64 6 mile national titles. In Addition, Bruce won the 60, 61, and 63 national XC titles. Bruce was a member of the 62 Commonwealth games and the 64 Olympic teams. Still holds CDN JR record in the 5000m at 13:43.8. In 1961 he was awarded the Lou Marsh Trophy, in 61 and 62 he was awarded the Lionel Conacher Trophy, and in 1993 he won the Bryce Taylor award for contribution to amateur sport. Also, a member of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame as well as the Order of Canada.
