Important Information:

URGENT NOTE:

  • We have been informed by Seneca College that the Department of Highways is closing for this weekend all ramps at Highway 400 and King Sideroad for construction.
     
    Directions: From the West - Take Hwy 401 east to Toronto; then take Hwy 400 north to Teston Rd (1st exit past Major Mackenzie and one before King Sideroad)

    Go east to Dufferin St; turn left and go north approx 5-6 Km on Dufferin St. to Seneca College King Campus (turn left at entrance).

    From the North - Take Hwy 400 south to Aurora Sideroad. Go east on Aurora Sideroad, which

    jogs south on Jane then east again to Dufferin. Turn right and go 5.5 km south on Dufferin St.

    to Seneca College King Campus. (turn right at entrance).

    From the East - Take Hwy 401 west to Hwy 404. Go north on Hwy 404 to Bloomington

    Sideroad. Go west on Bloomington Sideroad to Dufferin. Turn right and go 0.5 km north on

    Dufferin St. to Seneca College King Campus. (turn left at entrance).

    Course: The course starts and finishes in the open field at the entrance to Seneca College.

Athletics Ontario approved (not AO sanctioned but approved for participation by AO athletes) ie., performances will count if they are achieved in the primary competition held under the auspices of the organizing jurisdiction - events not included in the primary competition - e.g. open events - must be sanctioned by AO. NOTE: for acceptance of performances by Athletics Canada for seed, standard, ranking, record or selection purposes,  they must have been achieved under the rules of the IAAF.

Important Reminder to ALL ATHLETES & COACHES from Athletics Canada:

Only performances from REGISTERED members of the current year will be accepted for rankings or Canadian records. There will be no retroactive acceptance of performances. The revised rules read:

  • Rule 19 - To be eligible for AC National team’s selection, an athlete must hold a current Athletics Canada/Branch competitive Membership at the time the team selection criteria standard is achieved.
  • Rule 181 - Canadian Records can only be claimed by athletes who have a valid membership at the time of the performance. a) An athlete claiming a Canadian record must, at the time the performance is achieved, hold a current competitive Athletics Canada/Branch membership.
Performances will also count for all out-of-province events provided they are sanctioned by their provincial sports organization or Athletics Canada. If you want to know if a Road Race in Ontario is certified, please go to: www.coursemeasurement.ca
