Athletics Ontario is pleased to announce the Inductees for the 2009 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will take place at the Yorkland Hotel in Toronto on December 5, 2009. This event will be held in conjunction with the Annual Awards Banquet, "Celebrating Excellence in Athletics".
The AO Hall of Fame was created to recognize past outstanding achievements and contributions to athletics (track and field, road running, cross country and race walking) in Ontario. These contributions are not limited to athletic achievements, but may also represent builders of the sport (coaches, officials, managers, meet directors, trainers, etc). Our sport has been blessed with countless people who have dedicated much of their time, energy, expertise and athleticism to help make it what it is today. Many children look up to these people as role models, sources of inspiration, teachers, mentors, friends and competitors.
