Lopes-Schliep captures title in inaugural Diamond League

Priscilla Lopes-Schliep of Whitby, ON captured the 2010 Diamond League title in the 100m hurdles this afternoon by finishing first in the seventh and final Diamond League competition in Brussels, Belgium.  Lopes-Schliep won the race in 12.54 seconds with Pickering’s Perdita Felicien placing third in 12.68 seconds. READ MORE

Athletics Ontario is pleased to announce that the electronic nomination form for the 2010 Athletics Ontario Awards and a downloadable nomination form for the Hall of Fame are now available on the Athletics Ontario web site. Many P.B.’s at Ontario Games competition

When you mix excellent facilities, good weather, teamwork and athletes with good attitude the result is many personal and seasonal bests. And that’s what happened at the Ontario Summer Games held in Sudbury last Thursday and Friday. Close to 100 athletes aged 23 and under met in Sudbury to contest not only the Ontario Summer Games, a biennial multi-sports event, but the first-ever Ontario Espoir Championships. Athletics Canada names 2010 Commonwealth Games team

Athletics Canada announced a team of 40 athletes today which will compete at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.  Athletics competition at the Commonwealth Games starts October 6th and will wrap up on the 12th.  READ MORE

Athletics Ontario (AO), Athletics Canada (AC) and Canadian Sport Centre Ontario (CSCO) are pleased to announce the formation of a partnership that will create an active, vibrant and meaningful High Performance program for Athletics in Ontario. READ MORE
